Clemency wins big money (for a kid)!
The Irvine Company apartments, which we live in at the moment, ran a back to school art contest for kids based around the theme of “What do you like best about living in your complex”.
As a summer activity (to fill in all the spare time) Clemency entered the contest. Her theme was a picture of Dad, Hadley and herself hiking in the hills around our apartment complex at sunset. This was her caption:
I like to go hiking with my Dad and brother right outside my house. I like to see wild animals in their own environment, especially deer. It is really nice in the evening when it is quiet and there are sunsets.
Within the 7-12 age group she picked up the first place prize and a $250 gift card. That is a lot of prize for a 7 year old to consume so I think Mum and Dad might have to help. Good job Clemency!
