First Day Skiing
Jem, and I took the older kids up to Porter Heights for some fun on the snow. It was Clemency and Hadley’s first time on skis so it was good to see them enjoy it and take to it well.
Clemency has skated a bit previously so was off down the slope right away, and towards the end of the afternoon was going up the steeper basic slope on the pommer. Hadley had a go at that as well but found the coming down a little more difficult as he hasn’t quite grasped the concept of traversing the slope.
The only problem with the day was that they enjoyed it too much and will probably want to go again. Thanks Jem for getting us out the door to have some fun, and the dads were definitely the most tired at the end, even though they didn’t even put on a pair of skis themselves.
